Bailey had some firsts this weekend. Yesterday Skye, Tracey and I took her to Spearfish and had her portraits done at Picture Me studio in Walmart. They turned out so cute! For the first time in 3 years she has had inside portraits done, and she did wonderful! One the way home she decided she was going to spend the night at my house. I wasn't sure she would after it was all said and done, but we had no problems what so ever. Jarrod stopped by before heading home to check on her and she wasn't going to get close to him thinking he was going to take her with him. Once she realized she still got to stay, she gave him hugs and said night to him. She slept very well and didn't get homesick at all. I am so proud of her!
Last night we went for a walk and went to Teri's, a friend of mine. A vehicle went speeding past the house and a couple minutes later a cop went by. We said "where was that cop a couple minutes ago when the guy was speeding by?" Bailey preceded to tell us about a cop chasing Grandma Tracey for going to fast on the fast road. We got a kick out of her telling us that story and when I asked Jarrod, he said that she was speeding but didn't get a ticket a while back. What kids remember and then innocently embarrass you with is always so much fun!
This morning we went to get Emma and then went to Sunday school. We had a good time but I wasn't about to try to keep them still and quiet during church so we came home to give them a chance to play. Play they did and what I had done with cleaning the playroom become absolute so I asked them to pick up the toys they weren't playing with. They ignored me so I told them to pick them up before going outside and if they didn't, I would lock the playroom door. With this threat, the differences in the girls came out. Bailey informed me she was ready to go see her mom now and I told her ok, I would call her mom AFTER the toys were picked up. She knew she was had and went to picking up the toys. Emma knows what happens when I say I am going to lock up her toys after going months without her favorite wooden birthday cake so she just informed me "When you be nice about it, I will pick up toys!" Wonder where she gets that little phrase... I pointed out that I was being nice, but they were being the mean ones for not picking up after I worked hard already to clean it. With this she started cleaning up also. Those are two very special girls and I wouldn't trade either for anything.
When Skye came to pick up Bailey, she didn't want to go home. I am sure it was because Emma was here and they were having fun playing together for most part... until they wanted the same toy!
